Development Internship
Scope of Internship
Timeframe: Immediate start date; open-ended, dependent upon success in position
Number of hours: 10 – 20 hours per week depending on your availability

BDN seeks a Business/Nonprofit Development intern to assist the Development Assistant and Executive Director in development efforts. This internship will give the intern valuable, real-world experience, as well as providing the organization with additional administrative support. Well suited candidates should have an interest in research, event planning, communications and donor development. Students must be currently enrolled or recent graduates and plan on pursuing a career in a related field. This is an unpaid position, but it comes with a great reference and lots of fun in the office -- including daily recess and plenty of hi-fiving.
Responsibilities:
Assist with online donor research for potential corporate donors and foundations.
Input donor leads into database
Use records and other databases to track past, future and current donors.
Assist with fundraising and special event coordination
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Familiar with Microsoft products
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities
Comfort with a playful, exuberant and mildly irreverent workplace culture
