Brockton Day Nursery… had its origin in the charitable work of the “1894 Club,” an organization of young women guided by Leila Delano Richmond and In 1908, former Governor William L.. Douglas, appreciating and endorsing the work in which the organization had been engaged, presented the Brockton Day Nursery with a building and land on Everett Street and an endowment for the continuance of its mission. An organization with over 120 years of service to Brockton and the surrounding communities, Brockton Day Nursery is now located in their permanent home, a 131,000 square foot campus on Crescent Street in Brockton.
Brockton Day Nursery.....is a non-profit program for ages 0-13, that is full of fun and learning. Our activities are based on monthly themes. We offer arts, crafts, music, role play (drama) and outdoor activities in addition to creative curriculum based learning.
Brockton Day Nursery’s…goal is to offer an interactive, developmentally appropriate program that enhances children’s natural curiosity about the world around them, and nurtures the important cognitive and social-emotional development that will benefit them throughout their lives. We value diversity, community and accountability. We will always strive to maintain an inclusive, affordable, accessible, quality childcare and enrichment program that accommodates the needs of our families in an ever-changing world.
Brockton Day Nursery…. staff members consist of trained teachers, administrators, and support personnel who foster enduring connections between children, their extended families, and among one another to create a community of learners.
